What do you see the Paper or the Dot?
I like story’s, and illustrations...They help us picture and frame life’s journeys and challenges... Illustration: As a minister was addressing a group one day, he took a large piece of paper and made a black dot in the center of it with a marking pen. Then he held the paper up before the group and asked them what they saw. One person quickly replied, “I see a black mark.” “Right,” the preacher replied. “What else do you see?” Complete silence prevailed. “Don’t you see anything other than the dot?” he asked. A chorus of noes came from the audience. The speaker commented “I’m really surprised.” He said, “You have completely overlooked the most important thing of all—“you have overlooked the sheet of paper.” Then he made the application. He said that in life we are often distracted by small, dot-like disappointments or painful experiences, and we are prone to forget the innumerable blessings we receive from the hand of the Lord. But like the sheet of paper, the good things are far more important than the adversities that try to monopolize our attention.

Are You Ready For The Road Ahead?
Are You Ready For The Road Ahead? Some years back there was a very popular car commercial from Ford Motor Company, that said that their (Ford) cars were: Built for the Road Ahead! With this advertising slogan, Ford was saying they believed that they had designed an automobile that can handle the road—any road that might be out there. Whatever the circumstances, the situation, or the condition, In this slogan, Ford claimed that they had built a car that could handle it—the expected, the unexpected, the planned, the unplanned, the wanted and the unwanted, the seen and the unseen. Ford was saying “bring it on”. In making such a claim Ford was saying, that what they put in their cars, the materials they use, the aerodynamic configuration of their models are all engineered in such a way to take the pressure of today’s driving conditions. Ford believed that no matter where their cars are—dirt road or four-lane high-way—they expected their cars to be able to perform on the journey. Well, God has made the same claim about each and every one of us that Ford made about their cars. We are “Built for the Road Ahead.” We have been fearfully and wonderfully made..We are uniquely created, shaped, and designed to handle anything that we will face in this life.
